Janet Mandel's presentations on artists and art movements have been the highlight of our online programming. Ms. Mandel is highly knowledgeable and personable. Her material is accessible to the neophyte but sophisticated enough to satisfy more seasoned art lovers. As befits her subject, her lavishly illustrated programs are a visual delight.

-- Virginia Munro, Retired Adult Programs Coordinator for the Edgartown (MA) Public Library

The amount of research that Janet does for her art talks is paralleled by her obvious passion for art history. She truly brings the artist to life and has such insight into their style and character that you wonder if she is a time traveler and actually has personally met them. Janet points out various details in paintings and explains the historical and cultural significance of them. My eyes would have easily passed over these details if not for Janet.

--Margie Ticknor, Director, Kemmerer Library Harding Township, NJ

Janet Mandel is a patron favorite. Her Art Talks are informative and beautifully illustrated. The historical details she provides make the paintings and her subjects come alive. We look forward to her visits to the Montville Township Library.

Janet Mandel's Art Talks are, hands down, some of the best Library presentations I've seen in my 25+ years of being a librarian.  She brings vision, history, and wonder to her beautifully illustrated discussions, covering an amazing range of artists from many different genres and eras.  Every one of her programs fills to capacity!

A Janet Mandel art history lecture is one of the highlights of our Life Long Learning program each semester!  Janet gives the audience a wonderful inside look into the artist’s life with details you won’t hear anywhere else. Her visual presentations that go along with her lectures are fabulous as well. Her discussions are not to be missed!
